Krispy Kreme Bus Tour Heading to a City Near You!

Now this is my kind of party bus! Think they'll let me borrow it for my birthday party? The delicious Krispy Kreme doughnut that was born here in Winston-Salem and has touched lips nationwide, launched their "Glaze the Nation" tour last week with this fabulous streamer!

Read more about the tour below and visit the tour website here!

"In the 75 years since Vernon Rudolph founded Krispy Kreme in Winston-Salem, NC, our iconic paper hat, Hot Now sign, Doughnut Theater and Original Glazed® doughnuts have been the driving force behind our mission to touch and enhance lives through the joy that is Krispy Kreme.

Reminiscent of the early 1940s when Krispy Kreme mobilized its small fleet of delivery trucks to bring our signature doughnuts to fans of all ages, the 2012 Glaze the Nation Tour is setting out to bring the celebration of our 75th birthday to Krispy Kreme fun-atics across the country.

For 260 days, tour guides Ron and Kim Schields will take to the road in our newly restored 1960 Flxible Starliner—the Krispy Kreme Cruiser—sharing the delicious tastes and joyful memories of Krispy Kreme at special events and Krispy Kreme shops throughout the United States.

Join us as we celebrate the 75th birthday of our one-of-a-kind doughnuts with special prizes, giveaways, doughnuts and more."

  8. Just stopped for gas between Disney World and Tampa and Ron & Kim pulled in next to us for fuel in the KK Bus. I was admiring the bus and Ron let me peak inside to see it. What a beautiful rig and would love to have one just like it. Took me right back to the wonderful 60's. I wasn't going to ask, but was hoping some samples might be forthcoming. However, Ron was respectful and could see that I probably didn't need any more sweets.

    Have a wonderful trip !

  9. Saw the KK Cruiser today in Nashville and did a double take. The sign on the front said "One Sweet Ride" and then i saw the Krispy Kreme sign on the side that pulled it all together. I would have a major problem with my waistline if I had the job of driving that bus. I grew up eating hot Krispy Kremes as they had a shop just down the road and my next door neighbor worked there. Yeah, it was sweet & I still love em'...

    Terry in Nashville
