Delurk Gallery Debut this Friday at Gallery Hop

Delurk Gallery's inaugural exhibit : Presenting Delurk
There is a new gallery debuting at the Gallery Hop this Friday night: Delurk Gallery at 207 W. Sixth Street. The meaning of the gallery's moniker, derived partly from the word "lurk", which informally means "to read or observe the postings on an Internet message board or chat room without making any contribution oneself," ergo, "Delurk," according to its Facebook page, is "To participate in something you previously only spectated."

Delurk Gallery's inaugural exhibit this Friday, March 2nd from 7-10 p.m., features local artists Woodie Anderson, Chad Beroth, Shanthony Exum, Patrick Harris, Jennifer O’Kelly, Cindy Taplin, and Dane Walters.

Delurk will also host a new downtown satellite studio for Art-O-Mat. Stop by to learn more about how this international art project encourages art consumption by combining the worlds of art and commerce in an innovative affordable form. Talk with an Art-O-Mat technician about how you can become an Art-O-Mat artist.

Light refreshments will be served.

7-10 p.m. Friday
Delurk Gallery, 207 W. Sixth St., Winston-Salem; 486-3444
Gallery hours: 11 am - 6 pm, Thurs.-Sat.
