Cauliflower Pizza Crust- Gluten-free!


A friend shared a link to a gluten-free cauliflower pizza crust recipe from the delicious Eat Drink Smile blog. Since some family members are also allergic to the casein protein found in cow milk products, I was thrilled to find goat mozzarella and it was Meatless Monday to boot, so I decided it was the perfect time to try out the cauliflower crust.

The cauliflower crust is not just like a bread crust, but like the blogger says, it's not like eating cauliflower either. My family gobbled it up and weren't sure what the crust was. It's sturdy, but a little on the floppy side, so I recommend using a fork just in case. This will be making a regular appearance at our house!

Cauliflower crust ingredients

The ingredient list is simple:
1 cup cooked, riced cauliflower
1 cup (goat) mozzarella, grated
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

When forming the cauliflower "dough" on the pizza pan,
be sure to make the edges smooth.
