Old Salem Christmas this Saturday- While You're there Get a Signed Aunt Bee's Cookbook!

Old Salem presents Salem Christmas, this Saturday, December 10, 2011, an annual celebration of Moravian traditions throughout the Historic Town of Salem. Historic Buildings will open at 10:00am and close at 5:00pm.  At 5:15pm we will gather on Salem Square for carol singing & lighting the Christmas pyramid. Throughout the day, various authors will be on location conducting book signings.  Details below:

In the Moravian Book & Gift Shop:

Mark Boliek, author of The Mahogany Door, the first of a trilogy.  His new release is a fantasy for all ages(10:00am - 5:00pm) View author's website
 
Nancy Thomas, author of Moravian Christmas in the South, which explores the many facets of Moravian Christmas celebrations and how these traditions evolved over time (2:00pm - 5:00pm)

Betty Lyerly Willis, author of The Best of Mayberry Cookbook, a charming classic featuring a painting and photographic collection with histories of Andy Griffith's hometown, Mt. Airy, NC (1:00pm)
