So Much to Do Today... So Little Time!

Let's see, there are Farmer's Markets everywhere, including the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds Farmers Market (those goats and chickens from the fair are finally gone!), Shore Farm Organics will be at Thrive from 8am-10am on the corner of 4th and Broad St. and then the City Beverage Farmers Market Saturday from 12pm-4pm. 

Horne Creek Farm20th Annual Cornshucking Frolic at Horne Creek Living Historical Farm in Pinnacle featuring the harvesting, shucking, shelling, and grinding of corn! Saturday, October 15th, 10am-5pm. The "shuckfest" as I like to call it, celebrates the traditional harvesting, shucking, shelling, and grinding of corn. Cider making, woodworking, cooking, children's games, wagon rides, and numerous craft demonstrations. Free traditional, bluegrass, and gospel music by area groups.  Chicken stew, pintos, fried pies, and apple cider will be available. $5.00 admission. Kids 6 & under: Free.
Then there's the Annual Pumpkin Carvin' at Krankies Airstream at 11:00 a.m. BYOPumpkin, or pick one up at Reynolda Farm Market! Some tools available, but bring your own if you can. Come on out for come rad good times. We'll vote on some pumpkins, and winners will get a Krankies Airstream gift certificates!

Then it's up to Virginia to see our friends at the Stanburn Winery Open House. Winery and vineyard tours, wine tastings, and live music. Les Moore, then Poverty Level will be playing Saturday. Bring lawn chairs.
