Tonight's the Night: Business 40 Project Meeting
If you live in or near Winston-Salem, or just drive through it from time to time, I highly recommend attending one of the public meetings today to have your say, or forever hold your peace. The Business 40 Project that won't begin until 2018, but then it will be closed for two years, for the "most massive detour in the history of the city will begin."
"It's going to completely change the landscape of how you enter, how you exit, and what businesses are easily accessible," said Mark Dunnagan, chairman of the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership's infrastructure committee.
The public input meetings will be at 4 and 7 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church worship center, 200 N. Cherry St., in downtown Winston-Salem.
