Patrick Harris Paints Funny

Redd Foxx, 20x20", Acrylic on Canvas, 2011 The Funny Bones Show
by Patrick Harris

Patrick Harris is Winston-Salem's resident artist for legends of pop culture. He is a talented painter with a healthy sense of sarcasm. Prolific in punk and other music icons, as well as silver screen classics, such as Elvis and Marilyn Monroe, Harris turns his attention in his latest show at the SEED Gallery to brilliant comedians. The show, aptly named, "The Funny Bones Show", is a joint show with local pen-and-ink artist savant, Mike Duggins, who depicts comedic skeletal renderings for the show.

George Carlin, 20x20", Acrylic on Canvas, 2011 "Funny Bones Show"
by Patrick Harris

Redd Foxx, George Carlin, Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, Don Rickles, and many other jokers will grace the walls of the SEED Gallery, based in Urban Artware on Trade St. Winston-Salem. The show will run through the month of August. As a happy owner of a Patrick Harris painting, I personally dub this show a must-see.
