I am so excited that this day has finally come for my friends Cary & Jonathan. TODAY begins the "soft opening" of their fantastic new bakery space at 310-B West Fourth Street (beside Mellow Mushroom). Cary has been serving up her baked goodness at Krankies Coffee and the Farmer's Market at the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds since 2008.
I have been a longtime fan. You may remember my earlier posts that raved about their use of locally grown organic produce in their vegetarian sandwiches, such as their pink lady apples with Brie, arugula, & balsamic-poppyseed vinaigrette, and their lemon curd muffins, Mexican chocolate scones, focacia, and the custom mini blueberry scones for my son's preschool St. Patrick's Day party.
With their new bakery space, Camino Bakery has expanded their drink selection to include not only yummy Krankies Coffee, but also artisanal beer and wine selections. Get your Camino Bakery fix morning, noon and night (Fridays & Saturdays until 11pm). Cake and wine? I feel a girls' night coming on!
