Gummy Worm Dirt Cake

My little firecracker turned 6 today. We usually have a "friend" party and a family gathering for the kids' birthdays. This was the 3rd year in a row he requested Gummy Worm Dirt Cake for the family gathering. A friend asked for the recipe. It's so easy, I hardly call it a recipe; it's more of an "assembly" of ingredients.

Gummy Worm Dirt Cake

3 pkgs large (5.90 oz) Chocolate Instant Pudding

6 cups milk
1 pkg Cool Whip (optional)
1 pkg Oreo-type cookies
gummy worms
mint (optional)

Prepare the 3 packages of instant chocolate pudding according to directions, stirring in one container of Cool Whip (optional) and half a package of Oreo-like cookies, crushed. Pour into your dish - a planter-like pottery dish is ideal, or you can use a dish that fits into a terra cotta pot. Sprinkle the rest of the crushed cookies on top. Place gummy worms on top and tuck in a few sprigs of mint.
