It's so glorious that my birthday is also National Doughnut Day! In its 73rd year (not me), National Doughnut Day was founded by the Salvation Army to assist those in need during the Great Depression, and celebrate the Salvation Army “Lassies” of World War I, who served doughnuts to soldiers. To support the original reason for the day, text “DONUT” to 80888 to $10 to the Salvation Army.
You can also celebrate by going to , which is celebrating by giving out one FREE doughnut—of any variety—per costumer. Or you can check out Dunkin’ Donuts, who will be giving out one free donut with the purchase of a drink. Enjoy!
Mostest, I like the original glazed, grilled in a cast iron pan. Eating in shop, I like raspberry and the cinnamon bun and chocolate-covered custard-filled and.... What's your favorite flavor?
