NC Tobacco Culture & Agriculture Lunch & Learn Tomorrow! (Wednesday)

The summer sun on the leaves
by the house I grew up in. (2010)

My grandpa was a tobacco farmer. My neighbors growing up were tobacco farmers. I love the smell of the pack house after the tobacco has cured for a while. I have fond childhood memories of building "log cabins" in the red clay with tobacco sticks used for generations.

Wednesday, May 11th Lunch & Learn
at noon at the Gray Auditorium of the Old Salem Visitors Center: “North Carolina Tobacco Culture and Agriculture"

The Forsyth County Historic Resources Commission is sponsoring this free lecture as part of its observance of Historic Preservation Month in May.
