Friends in Japan

Sometimes it helps me in the midst of crisis far away if I can focus on a particular person or family, a face to grab hold of in the general unknown. If it helps you, please pray, send good vibes, etc. to my friends in Japan, the Takagai's: Shino, Yasu and Masa, pictured with me below. They live in Fukushima, Japan, 30 miles from the nuclear reactors that are breaking down. Focus on their sweet faces and pray and hope with me for the best in the midst of this tragedy.

UPDATE: I have heard from my friends! They are alive and well. They were not effected by the tsunami personally, but the earthquake, although it did damage to their belongings, left their home in tact. They have evacuated to another city farther South for now, until the reactors are stabilized. Thank you so much for your prayers! (Don't stop! Japan needs them!)
On Friday, March 11, 2011, Japan was hit by a 8.9 magnitude earthquake that led to subsequent tsunamis claiming the lives of thousands of people.
WAYS TO HELP: While the extent of the damage will not be determined for quite some time, it is evident that the Japanese people are in need of help. Many lives have already been lost or displaced. Please pray for those in the midst of this disaster. The following are organizations you can get involved with to help provide relief to victims:
