Share the Love: Doughnuts

I know they are not healthy. We all know that. But they are so darn cute and festive and yummy and, and... all things in moderation, right? What's up with all the food posts? I know. I must be hungry. But I would like to point out that the headquarters of Krispy Kreme is here in town, so at least there is the local element to this post that I so regularly strive for.

Taken Sunday, or "Doughnut Day"
Ahh, the glaze waterfall....
I wanted to establish a Sunday tradition for our kids, so for the past couple of years, we stop by Krispy Kreme, or "the doughnut factory" as my kids call it, after church each Sunday. This, like so many of my good intentions, backfired on me for a while, as they stopped referring to Sunday as "Church Day" and began calling it, instead, "Doughnut Day".
Krispy Kreme now has their Valentine's doughnuts available. Buy any dozen doughnuts and receive a pack of a dozen Valentines that offers the recipient one free doughnut. Great for the upcoming preschool Valentine's Day parties -- just send some milk and carrots to go with them! No kids? Share them with co-workers, or hoard them for yourself. No one will know!
