Photographer Jerald Winter

bad iPhone pic doesn't do these photos justice
Each month a different artist is featured in the lobby of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, which rocks, btw. This month there is a beautiful collection of Jerald Winter's photographs, most of which are taken in Winston-Salem, along US Hwy 52, and in Mt. Airy, NC, my hometown. That photo of Pilot Mountain is a very familiar scene for me, as I see it every time I head home to see my folks.

Note: That blue flower picture is taken with Jerald's iPhone! So, what the heck is wrong with this picture, then?

Jerald's photography dedicated to the art, joy, delight, affection, tenderness, laughter and pranks of his daughter, Karis Winter: August 11, 2001- February 6, 2009.

After the unexpected death of his daughter, Jerald "discovered the joy of photography while shooting images of the moon" on sleepless nights.

Check out Jerald's site to get the full glory of these photos, and/or come by Redeemer Pres. and see them in person! I'll be there Sunday, right before we head to the Doughnut Factory.
