Me & Ed McKay

I spend a lot of time at Edward McKay's. I'm pretty sweet on him. For a guy, he's pretty "stacked". I HEART Edward McKay Used Books on an average day. Especially on Vinyl Fridays (15% off). Yesterday was not just an average day. I had the opportunity to be in an Edward McKay commercial. I am cheap labor. They must have seen me holding my "WILL WORK FOR BOOKS" cardboard sign and gave me a call.

Keep an eye out for the commercial on WXII 12. I'm the one in the Russian/Middle Eastern Literature section holding Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and Rasputin File by Edvard Radzinsky. (I find Rasputin and his fishy beard fascinating.) I was thrilled to meet author Greg Mortenson at last year's BookMarks Book Festival (article

), who then donated over 400 books to Forsyth County students and libraries.
Ceiling in the Vinyl Section

  1. You are my famous friend. I feel special to know you! I'm making a note that you are to be my PR person in WS when my book finally gets picked up. I pay in books and chocolate. I hope the terms are acceptable to you.

  2. D-ha! Not famous. It was just a few seconds of browsing. No speaking part, so it was perfect! YES! I'd love to help with your book. Please keep me posted.
