I've been piddling (one of my dad's favorite words) around the house, humming, "I've Been Everywhere" and "Folsom Prison Blues" in preparation for Cash Bash, which begins tonight. I also love Cash's version of "Hurt", but it's so woebegone, it makes me feel the same and I can only take it in small doses.

This is a GREAT event for people watching, folks. All the cool Rockabilly guys come out dressed like young Elvis and James Dean and the girls wear big flowers in their hair and retro twirl skirts! Squeeee! It's worth the ticket price right there, before a single band member sets foot on stage. I'm especially psyched to see John Howie Jr., The Bo-Stevens and Brian McGee (met them shooting pool last year, but that's a long story for another post).

  1. I've been waiting for this night for a year!

BTW, The Screaming Eldorados play at 8.

  2. Thanks, Joe. It was fun. Shook my bootie and saw lots of friends. This year not one preacher or gal hit on me. I'm not sure whether to be offended or not. ;)
