Upcycled: New Local Etsy is Up!

I've posted a new set of lovely local Etsy items on the right. If you missed my earlier post about Etsy, and would like to know more, click here. I'm calling this set "Purple Haze". I'm particularly intrigued by the soap called "Huntsman's Allure".

I'd like to give a shout-out to my friend and Etsy seller Tracy of Zed+Zoe. Our daughters pirouette and arabesque together at the Academy of Dance Arts. Not only is she a talented with the sewing machine, but she "upcycles" rad T-shirts from the past. What is "upcycled" you ask? Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value.

Even better: Zed+Zoe does custom orders! She can take that old college T-shirt of yours, you know that Wake Forest, ASU, Tarheel shirt (or even Duke) with the barbecue sauce stain on the belly that you just can't bring yourself to throw out, and refashion it into a funky dress for your future Deacon! Frankly, I'd love to see my kid in a "Frankie Say" or "Eye of the Tiger" dress. If only I'd held on to those T's.

Please let me know if you purchase from one of the local Etsy sellers I have listed now or in the past and how you like your purchase and service. And tell them you saw it here on the SouthernAsBiscuits blog!
